Cooling tower special motor features:

1. Longer motor shaft

The fan of the cooling tower is installed on the air outlet of the cooling tower and fixed by the motor support.The fan is located in the fan stack of the cooling tower.Therefore, the motor shaft of a dedicated motor for a cooling tower is usually longer than that of a general motor.

2. Fully enclosed structure

The motor is installed at the top of the cooling tower and is exposed to splashing circulating water and water vapor throughout the day.Therefore, the motor has a high level of sealing protection to prevent the ingress of rainwater and steam.The cooling class of the cooling tower motor is usually above IP55.

3. Heat dissipation outstanding performance

Most cooling tower motors are in operation all day and are continuously generated with heat.Therefore, cooling tower motor material and structure must have excellent heat dissipation performance to protect the motor will be no high-temperature burning machine failure during long-term operation.

4. Good corrosion resistance

The cooling tower motor is exposed to high humidity and heat for a long time and is highly susceptible to moisture corrosion. Therefore, its anti-corrosion performance needs to reach IP56 or above.

5. Superior insulation properties

Cooling tower motors that have been in a humid environment for a long time need to have excellent insulation performance, and the insulation level needs to be above Class F to ensure the safety of the surrounding personnel.

The motor commonly used in cooling towers is a 3-phase 380V asynchronous AC motor. The frequency used by domestic users is 50HZ,it can also be customized according to customer requirements.According to the customer's control requirements for the cooling tower, the cooling tower motor can be selected with a single-speed standard motor, a two-speed motor or a frequency-modulated motor (inverter motor).The speed of the motor is different, and the corresponding fan air flow is also different, so that the cooling capacity of the cooling tower can be adjusted.
